Jewelry Care Guide
Every piece created by Audacia Vera is handcrafted with patience, precision, and an appreciation for artistry. While each design is made to be enjoyed and worn, proper care will help preserve its beauty for many years to come.
Wear with Care
Your jewelry is wearable art. Although it is carefully constructed for strength and durability, it should be treated with the same care you would give any handcrafted work of art.
Avoid dropping, bending, or placing unnecessary stress on your piece, particularly statement necklaces and larger designs.
Keep Dry
Remove your jewelry before:
Showering or bathing
Swimming
Exercising
Washing dishes
Using hot tubs or saunas
Prolonged exposure to moisture may affect certain materials, adhesives, metal finishes, and natural fibers used during construction.
Avoid Chemicals
Apply perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and cosmetics before putting on your jewelry.
Household cleaners, solvents, chlorine, and other chemicals can damage metal finishes, gemstones, and decorative components.
Storage
When not being worn, store your jewelry:
In its original box or a soft jewelry pouch
In a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight
Separate from other jewelry to prevent scratching or tangling
Avoid storing pieces in humid environments such as bathrooms.
Cleaning
To clean your jewelry:
Gently wipe with a soft, dry microfiber or jewelry polishing cloth.
Never soak bead embroidered pieces in water.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, and harsh jewelry cleaners.
If dust collects between beads, a soft cosmetic brush or clean artist's paintbrush may be used gently.
Natural Materials
Many Audacia Vera pieces feature natural gemstones, pearls, shells, or other organic materials. Natural variations in color, inclusions, texture, and pattern are part of what makes each piece unique and should not be considered imperfections.
Statement Pieces
Many designs are intentionally bold and substantial. While securely constructed, larger pieces should not be pulled, twisted, or worn beneath heavy bags, seat belts for extended periods, or tight clothing that may place unnecessary stress on the beadwork.
Repairs
Should your jewelry become damaged through normal wear, please reach out through the Contact page. Whenever possible, I will gladly evaluate the piece and discuss repair options.
Depending on the nature of the repair, a service fee and return shipping costs may apply.
A Final Note
Every piece from Audacia Vera is created by hand, one bead at a time. My hope is that your jewelry becomes more than an accessory. May it accompany celebrations, milestones, quiet moments, and memories yet to be made.
Thank you for caring for it as thoughtfully as it was created.
